Spa and Wellness
Everything here starts with the water. AQUA DOME sits on the only thermal spring in Western Austria, and the thermal bath is not an add-on — it is the reason the hotel exists. Guests have free use of it throughout their stay.
The signature image is the three outdoor floating bowls: glass-topped basins held above the valley floor, with steam rising and the Ötztal Alps in front of you. Below them, the thermal bath holds twelve basins and ten saunas, plus a 25-metre sports pool with a proper lane and a flow pool with a current channel.
SPA 3000 is the premium part, reserved for hotel guests. It spans two floors with a panoramic glass façade, an open fireplace, and interiors in spruce and granite. Two thermal pools are tucked into this area: the Moosgumpe at a warm 34°C, surrounded by moss-covered walls and loungers, and the Längenfeld Badl'n at 36°C, where massage jets work the water against the valley view.
The Moosgumpe pool is 34°C and the Badl'n is 36°C, both fed by Ötztal thermal water. Level 1 of SPA 3000 is a textile-free zone, as is usual in this part of Austria; sauna kilts can be borrowed at the information desk.
Treatments run from massages and peeling to beauty packs and facials, and the hotel also has a fitness centre.
Celebrating an Occasion
AQUA DOME has a dedicated offering for couples, and it is worth booking before you arrive.
The Private Spa Suite is a private wellness suite for two people: a Finnish sauna, a Bovi couples' bath and a massage lounger, with its own relaxation area to share. It is designed for exactly what a honeymoon or anniversary trip needs — the two of you, without anyone else in the room.
For couples who want something beyond the spa, the hotel's AQUventures programme is built around shared experiences on the mountain, in the water and for the mind. The hotel states these are tailored for couples.
Both are subject to availability and should be requested when you book.
Rooms and Suites
The hotel has over 200 rooms and suites, which is a large property — but the layout keeps the feel calm. Natural materials, plenty of wood and warm tones give the rooms an alpine-modern character rather than a hotel-chain one.
Because the thermal bath is included in every rate, a standard room here already delivers the main reason guests come. Rooms generally face the mountains, many with a balcony.
What to expect: mountain views across the Ötztal, balcony or terrace in many rooms, wood-and-natural-materials alpine interiors, minibar, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi, and spacious family suites available.
For a couple, a higher-category room with a balcony facing the valley is the right call — you will want the view in the morning and after the sauna. Families should look at the hotel's Raumwunder and Familienparadies suites. If the Private Spa Suite matters to you, book it as an experience alongside your room rather than expecting it to be a room category.

Dining
Half board is part of the standard stay. The AlpineVitalHalfBoard arrangement includes a breakfast buffet and dinner, with themed menus and buffets built around Alpine cooking. There are numerous vegan and vegetarian alternatives, and menus can be adapted to allergies.
The hotel runs a restaurant with regional and international dishes, a lounge and bar, and a wine bar with an open fireplace and leather sofas — an easy place to end the evening after the sauna.
One practical detail worth knowing: the hotel asks guests to dress sporty-elegant for dinner and at the bar. Gentlemen are expected to wear long trousers, and flip-flops, caps and sleeveless shirts are not appropriate in these areas. It is a normal European hotel standard, but it surprises guests who spend the day in a bathrobe.
Location and Getting There
AQUA DOME is at Oberlängenfeld 140, 6444 Längenfeld, in the Ötztal valley. The setting is high alpine: the hotel sits among the Ötztal mountains, with the valley floor below and the peaks in front of the floating bowls.
By car, Längenfeld is reached from the Inntal via the A12 and the Ötztal road. Parking is available on site, including an underground car park; confirm current conditions with the hotel.
Without a car, it works well. The Ötztal railway station is the main arrival point, with onward bus or the AQUA DOME taxi to the hotel door. Public transport is free for guests in the Ötztal valley, which makes car-free stays practical. The nearest airports are Innsbruck and Munich, both connected by the hotel's taxi service on request.
Best time to visit: winter is the most atmospheric — the outdoor bowls steam while the valley is under snow. Spring and autumn are quieter and good value. Summer opens the Ötztal hiking and cycling routes, and the thermal bath stays just as inviting after a long day out.
