Spa and Wellness
The spa is the reason guests come, and it is genuinely large: around 5,400 m², making it one of the biggest in the Alps. The centrepiece is the panorama pool, filled with Granderwasser®, which works both indoors and outdoors and keeps the mountain view in front of you whichever side you swim.
The traditional Tyrolean sauna village is the other anchor. It holds eleven different saunas and steam baths, arranged as a village rather than as a row of doors, with relaxation areas between them. It is a more enjoyable way to work through the heat than a standard sauna block.
The set-up is deliberately flexible. There is a textile-free Tyrolean Sauna Village, a Textile Sauna World for guests who prefer to keep their swimwear on, and a separate Ladies' Spa — a rarer feature, and a good reason some guests choose this hotel over its competitors.
Beyond the heat, the spa offers massages, facials and body wraps, a spa restaurant for a light meal between treatments, a fitness area with a gym and personal training, and a yoga and breathwork programme that guest reviews repeatedly highlight as a bonus.
The hotel is also family-friendly inside the spa: there is a separate children's area with a baby and toddler pool at 32 °C, a family-friendly textile sauna where under-15s can sauna when accompanied by an adult, and spa treatments designed for young guests.
Book treatments ahead in peak season; the spa reception is open more than twelve hours a day, and appointments can be requested by phone, email or the online form.
Celebrating an Occasion
For couples, the strongest feature is the Private Spa: 75 m² reserved for two, with a luxurious double bathtub for aromatic baths, treatment beds for a couples' massage, and a Finnish sauna. The hotel describes it as an unforgettable break for two — and it is the only part of the spa that is exclusively yours.
- Quality time for two — a three-night package bookable all year round, designed specifically as a couples' break.
- Private Spa — 75 m² reserved exclusively for two, with a double bathtub, couples' treatment beds and a Finnish sauna.
- Private celebrations — around 3,300 m² of event space, including space for a larger anniversary dinner.
Availability for the Private Spa and for private celebrations is limited, so request them when you book.
Rooms and Suites
Rooms and suites are furnished in a modern Tyrolean style, and every one has a spacious balcony with a view — over the Inn Valley or towards the mountains, depending on the side. Sizes start at around 24 m² for a single room and rise to 78 m² for the larger twin and suite categories.
The Premium and Superior Double Rooms are the standard choice for two, at roughly 45 and 55 m². If you prefer a more contemporary feel, the Lodge rooms on the sixth floor trade carved wood for walnut and leather, with sloping ceilings and the same Alpine outlook.
Booking.com lists suites with two bedrooms sleeping up to four, including Deluxe, Superior and Family Suites. Half board is included in every room rate.
For two, a Superior Double Room at around 55 m² is the sensible middle — noticeably more space than the Premium without stepping into suite territory. Couples who care about the room itself should look at the Lodge rooms for a different aesthetic. Families and small groups should take one of the two-bedroom suites.

Dining
There are two restaurants on site. Alle Stuben & Wintergarten serves Austrian and international cooking across breakfast, lunch and dinner, in a traditional and, in parts, romantic atmosphere. The hotel also runs the Interalpen-Chef's Table for a more intimate format.
Half board is included in the room rate and, unusually for a hotel of this size, comes with a six-course dinner and a choice of dishes rather than a single set menu. Salad and cheese buffets run alongside, and the hotel stages theme buffets on a regular basis.
Dietary needs are well covered: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options are all listed. Breakfast is consistently singled out in guest reviews as a highlight.
One thing worth knowing: the dining is built around the half-board rhythm, so dinner is part of the day's structure rather than an à la carte decision made at eight in the evening.
Location and Getting There
The Interalpen sits at 1,300 metres on the Seefeld Plateau, in its own secluded grounds rather than in the village. It is reached by the Dr.-Hans-Liebherr-Alpenstraße and is close enough to Seefeld to use it, but far enough to feel genuinely removed.
That position is the hotel's character. The plateau gives long, open views over the Inn Valley, and the location is a natural starting point for hikes and mountain bike tours in summer and for winter activities in the cold months.
Parking is free on site, including private and on-site parking with valet parking. The hotel also runs an airport shuttle and a general shuttle service, so arriving without a car is realistic. Seefeld in Tirol is the nearest town, and Innsbruck is the nearest city and airport.
The hotel has around 3,300 m² of meeting and event space, which is worth knowing if you are considering it for a private celebration — but it also means conferences and events can be part of the picture in certain weeks.
Summer for hiking and cycling from the door, with the spa as the reward. Winter for the alpine setting and the indoor-outdoor panorama pool at its most atmospheric. Spring and autumn are the quietest and the best value.
