Spa and Wellness

NIDUM's wellness area is compact but unusually varied for its size, and the water is the reason. There is an Infinity Pool that works both indoors and outdoors, so you can swim in any weather while the Seefeld plateau and the mountain skyline stay in front of you. Outside there is also a natural bathing pond, where the only soundtrack is the forest.

For heat, the hotel layers its options: saunas with sweeping views, a Bio sauna, and a steam bath. The one worth naming is the sauna built into the rock — the hotel calls it the rock sauna, and it is set right into the cliff, so you sweat with the mountain rather than looking at a photo of it.

Two further elements matter for couples. There is an outdoor whirlpool on the terrace for the end of the day, and there are five treatment rooms equipped with modern massage lounges for massages and beauty treatments. The hotel also has a fitness room with Precor equipment and a large, light-filled movement room with a mirror wall, used for yoga and balance classes.

The tone here is deliberate: NIDUM describes itself as casual luxury, which in practice means you can spend the whole day in the spa without feeling you need to dress for it.

Celebrating an Occasion

NIDUM is well suited to a couple's break or a quiet celebration. The combination of a private terrace on every room, a rock sauna, an outdoor whirlpool and three dining areas gives you enough variety to fill several days without leaving the plateau.

  • Private sauna — selected suites include a private sauna inside the room.
  • Outdoor whirlpool — the terrace whirlpool is a natural end to a day on the mountain.
  • Wine cellar — a sommelier-guided cellar of more than 300 bottles for a special dinner.

Packages and treatments are subject to availability and change by season — ask when you book.

Rooms and Suites

NIDUM has 57 rooms and suites, and the naming tells you something about the hotel's character: Casual Room, Enjoy Room, Free Room, Nice Suite, Wow Suite, Awesome Suite. Sizes run from 35 m² to 118 m², so there is room for both a short spa break and a longer stay with space to spread out.

Every room and suite comes with a furnished south-facing balcony or terrace with mountain views. That orientation is not accidental — it is the Seefeld plateau's main luxury, and the hotel leans into it.

In-room equipment is generous by alpine standards: a tablet, an Illy espresso machine, a flat-screen TV, a minibar, a safety deposit box and a modern en-suite bathroom with bathrobes. Some suites add a private sauna.

For a couple, a Nice Suite at 52 m² is the sweet spot: noticeably more space than a standard room for a modest step up. If the room itself is meant to be the treat, the Wow Suite at 72 m² or the Awesome Suite at 118 m² deliver. Ask for a south-facing terrace when you book — every room has one, but the view improves with height.

Dining

The kitchen is built on a simple idea the hotel states clearly: the Mediterranean meets the Alps. In practice that means Tyrolean and Alpine specialities sitting alongside Mediterranean dishes and international classics, served across breakfast, lunch and a gourmet dinner.

There are three restaurant areas rather than one dining room, which keeps the evening from feeling like a hotel canteen. NIDUM Bar, next to the lobby, opens with coffee in the morning, becomes an aperitif spot in the early evening, and finishes with a nightcap — often with a pianist at the piano.

The terrace is genuinely part of the offer: breakfast in the first sun, lunch in the shade of a parasol, an aperitif at sunset. The hotel puts it neatly — here, the view is always on the menu.

For wine, the cellar holds more than 300 bottles and a sommelier is on hand to guide you from Austria through Italy and France. Dietary needs are taken seriously: lactose-free and gluten-free requirements are accommodated, so tell the hotel in advance.

Location and Getting There

NIDUM is at Am Wiesenhang 1, 6100 Mösern, on the Seefeld plateau in the Tyrolean Alps. Mösern is a small village rather than a resort town, which is exactly the point: quiet, elevated, with the Inn valley falling away below and the Wetterstein and Mieminger ranges across the horizon.

The hotel is about 1 km from the Gschwandtkopf ski area, with the Hinterfeld Mösernlift just 250 metres away, and the Seewald lifts about 1.1 km from the door. It is not ski-in/ski-out, but the access is easy.

Innsbruck Airport is about 20 km away, and Seefeld in Tirol train station about 4.3 km, so the hotel works well without a car. Free private parking is available on site, including a garage, with valet parking.

Three restaurants are within a few minutes on foot — For Friends 50 metres away, Gasthaus Alt Mösern 150 metres, and Inntalerhof 450 metres — which gives you an alternative to the hotel kitchen without needing to drive.

Winter for skiing at Gschwandtkopf and Seefeld, and for the outdoor pool steaming in the cold. Summer for hiking and cycling straight from the hotel. Spring and autumn are the quietest and the best value, with the plateau mostly to yourself.

Pros and Considerations

Pros

An infinity pool that works indoors and outdoors
A rock sauna built into the cliff, plus Bio sauna and steam bath
Three restaurant areas, so dinner never feels repetitive
Every room has a south-facing balcony or terrace with mountain views
Free parking, close to Innsbruck Airport and Seefeld station

Considerations

Not adults-only — children of all ages are welcome
Cribs and extra beds are not available, so it suits couples better than families with small children
Not ski-in/ski-out — the nearest lift is a short walk or drive
A village setting, not a resort centre with nightlife
Groups of more than five rooms fall under different policies
